open arms
My prof. in the DR, his wife, and me =)In a 3rd world country where veggies are a novelty and potatoes are a staple, I was given a lunch (the co's biggest meal) of Rice, Beans, amazing Chicken, amazing sauce with the chicken, Salad w/ veggies, and the best coffee ever with carnation milk as the cream/sweetener.
They have to save and budget to buy a hammock for their yard, but they opened their arms and their home to me for a day. It was a day of spanglish, feasting, and learning how to tell the difference between Meringue, Bachata, Salsa, etc etc just by the instruments... not to mention a dancing demonstration! Sheer Blessings.
It's a home of very little money and sooo much love. and yes, it is a household that serves the Lord.
