'K. Deal is, i have been forbidden to post self photos. well, any people photos w/ out consent, for that matter. This is from the one who cooks me dinner and that sort of thing, so i'm cool with respecting that. However, I love pictures. I do. SO, I'm going to add some, but they are discreet, so it's cool...
speaking of "cool" I actually really like Gwen Stefani's song "cool". And Weezer's newest. Perhaps not as uplifting as Jars of Clay, for example, but quality none the less. "...beverly hills, that's where i want to be... livin in beverly hills. " Seriously, though- how in depth and moving is that! erf
Okay, moving on. The photo is myself (maid-of-honor this coming Sat!!!) and a groomsman (best man? i think sooo) chillin' in the villiage in New York. Several top experiences from this trip:
1. Son has 3 brides maids, her two sisters (myself and Kara) and her goood friend Sholeh, whom she met at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise) in LA. Well. We're browsing Greenwich Villiage, NY, and We FIND Clothes Designed by Sholeh in a cute lil botique!! we then got all teary-eyed with "happy" and moved on before we blubbered.
2. Found our way into a full-on Korean kareoke bar. did i spell that right? anyways, songs are all asian, words are all in korean characters. sweet. so our hero Tim finagles our way into a private room- private tv w/ our own clicker to program whatever songs we want. ect. even some room to Line Dance baby. we went all out at that point. My fav. song (oh yea, they did have english for us) was Sweet Caroline.
3. playing w/ my camara! You remember the children's story, the little red lighthouse and the great grey bridge? Look:
Those are them! Really! The characters of the book alive and in person!
4. "highlight" is a happy thing, but I'm ending on a somber note. Ground zero. Matt (fella from photo above) and i found our way to some coffee on the last morning there, and then strolled slowly to the crater. there's a timeline of the day, pictures of the scenes, names, memorials. I never realized how truly patriotic I am, but i was shaken. ~cross constructed out of tower rubble
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:15-17
