My soap box: jumping to conclusions. Examples include being angry at someone for not calling or being late before you know the reason. Or being huffy at a stranger who was rude when you have no idea what's going on in their life right now!
As humans, we are really good at focusing on ourselves; thus, we take things personally way too often. Many times that we feel slighted, it's just a accidental result and not personal at all. Along with other things, Elphaba was a victim of this phoenomena.
