last minute thoughts
Okay, I really really need to be sleeping. I just had to say something more, and i love Garfield. This one's cute, but i really gotta find some of my favorites to post for y'all. Or far side. yeah.
Have I mentioned tonight's Alter yet? good stuff. It was all about dating, and the main verse used was:
"But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people." Eph. 5:3 We are just bombarded ideas from the world- concerning sex in particular. Rather than going into it (since Adam did a fine job covering it tonight and i'm not keen on paraphrasing right now), I'll add a favorite verse of mine to the one above:
"I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or the does of the field, that you not stir up or awaken love until it pleases." Song of Solomon 3: 5
There is a famous video series that goes thru "Song." An analogy used in the series is that love is like a fire. In a beautiful woodstove, it brings warmth comfort and romance. But if set openly in the middle of the same room, it would burn the house down. I'll let you make the connections... i'm goin to bed!

Yes, last night's talk was a blessing...power-packed with truth. It's so hard to not be focused on "me" in a relationship, to not be selfish. Some food for thought from last night: "We were created to love. If we haven't tried, we haven't lived." God is so amazing, our Love and Life, that Jesus says "And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, The one and only true God,And Jesus Christ, whom you sent" (John 17:3) Have a beautiful time of adventure and joy in Hawaii!
